* the biggest mistake north-americans have ever made is to live in the wrong dvd region!

* in a certain way you could call this digital artefact a BBC PRODUCTION, although it probably won't be shown on television (but i wouldn't mind to be wrong). elaine shepherd who produced and self-released this disc, must have seen it as an inevitable resumption of her the artist formerly known as captain beefheart documentary. before the seasoned camera crew covered the second magic band concert ever, they even drove to the studio in california, usa where the magic band was pumping up to go back to the live front - watched by an emotional 'godfather' matt groening

back in the uk, the team was reinforced with icon john peel, who took revenge for his initially ignorance of the reunion by finding some spare minutes to narrate to the docu part. sadly enough it would appear to be his 'last words about beefheart', but respectfully the album has been dedicated to him (and for many other reasons)....

the main part of the video disc is a must for anyone who went to one of the scarce magic band concerts for it is great to 'meet them again' and / or likes their album as this is an essential addition and / or listened to the john peel web show because you shouldn't only hear, but also sée the music painting

it also is a must for every being which knows about the astonishing reunion from hearsay or rumours, or happens to read all the press and cyber reports (at this site, for instance), or just longs for a different kind of musical tea
