the only text that was 'saved' from don van vliet's burning of
his work in spring 1969
her little face and place
dear old tree i am you and you me
she sings she plays
little fence grown around your base
panzies smiling color of sunshine
panting painting happy face
we share different space yet
i know you well, i know you then
i know i knew you again
she sings
dear old tree you stand still
she sings she plays
initals small, then growing big nowfall
little fence blades of green
summer winter spring
shade fades you she plays sings
bent nail autumn
blossoms spring cling to cloth
wet and winter rain clinched
i know you then i have grown
i knew you well i know you have grown i know
little fence blades of green poking shade fades you
she's all dressed up in the morning sunshine
she's all dressed up in the morning sunshine
she walks out
and she talks out
sings
plays out in yellow morning sunshine
she sings she plays
waves and fades in the wind sky
rubs her little eyes
in morning sunshine she bathes
little girl
i see i see you i love you
